So here is the million dollar idea,,, put a tee in your fuel line and run a clear fuel hose along the bottom of the tank and up the front so it ends higher than the top of the tank glue a small piece of foam rubber over the open end to act as a filter. Now just a glance will tell you the level as the clear tube will maintain the same level as the fuel in the tank
